I am writing to apply for a tenure-track faculty position in the School of Computer Science at Carleton University. I am excited about this position as Carleton University is a prominent academic institution that provides exceptional research opportunities while being equally committed to teaching and scholastic excellence. I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo, supervised by Dr. Kate Larson and Dr. Robin Cohen. I believe that my expertise in artificial intelligence, multi-agent systems, and machine learning together with my extensive teaching experience make me a strong candidate for this faculty position.
My research depends upon mechanism design, decision making under uncertainty, stochastic planning, and data analytics. My dissertation investigates strategic aspects of resource allocation markets in dynamic and one-shot settings.

Thus far, I have completed two intensive teaching development programs, namely Certificate in University Teaching and Fundamentals of University Teaching. I have also worked as a Graduate Instructional Developer at the University of Waterloo’s Centre for Teaching Excellence (CTE). In this role, I develop and facilitate workshops on core teaching skills and regularly conduct observations of lectures delivered by graduate students. I am also interested in pedagogy in higher education and have been recently awarded an educational grant to study the effectiveness of incorporating game-based learning techniques in university classes. To date, I have developed and taught topics in machine learning, artificial intelligence, information system management, database design, and algorithm design. In fall 2015, I taught a course on Data Structures and Algorithm Design at the University of Waterloo, where I was recognized as a Top Instructor on the basis of my teaching
