Consider this, A news report from The New Yorker estimates that 2,000 serial killers are currently at large in the United States (Gaudette, Emily). Serial killers are spine-chilling to most people, but they are actually quite intriguing. One of the most interesting serial killers is Edmund Kemper, also known as The Co-Ed Killer. Edmund Kemper was a fascinating man that lived a troubled life. His challenging childhood filled with neglect was a recipe for disaster. Obviously, it was well known that Edmund Kemper was the individual responsible for killing his grandparents where he served five years as a punishment. The story that left the public and local authorities with many questions was the similar murders of young women over the years. The question is, how did the authorities solve the case? Actually, it was quite simple. Most of the bodies had been found, but there was no forensic evidence that authorities could use to link the crime scene to a suspect. The only information the Santa Cruz authorities had was the calls from the tip lines and the headlines (EDMUND KEMPER INTERVIEW).
