Why not later? It is a Sunday night and your weekend is already nearing its end. You end up laying down and start thinking about how tomorrow is going to go after all your work that you did from that same day. All of a sudden, you have fallen asleep. Next thing you know, it’s a new day and the roosters have started singing but you wake up all grumpy and mad because you feel that your night's rest wasn't long enough. Most people are used to the fact that waking up early and being ready as soon as possible is the best thing to do in order to be set for school. But are you really ready once everything is set? It is best if school were to start more later in the day because students of all schools would be more prepared by the time they make it to school. To begin with, schools should have start times later on in the day so the chances of a car accident could reduce. Needing sleep and losing it is a huge problem for our nation's youth because throughout the day they will have impairments due to their tiredness. The most dangerous time of the day to be impaired is in the morning because the chance of being hit by a vehicle is really high. Imagine how many lives have been lost due to drowsy drivers. There have been studies on how the time of the day affects the pupil's productivity. IQ's for teens are significantly lower in the morning. Their circadian rhythms affect their learning ability and performance, which can lead to depression among many students because of too many low grades and tiredness.
