Senior Paper School uniforms are now being required in many public schools. Schools make it easier for the students pick their outfits out. They make it easier for the entire school, because they take the time and say all boys wear this and all girls wear this. School uniforms should not be worn because it decreases individuality and reduces self expression, they can be hardship for parents because of the cost. They also should not be worn because it is not going to change the bullying rate. One of the things that come into play is the psychological effect of wearing school uniforms. Students act and think differently when they are wearing school uniforms. For example research shows that students who wear school uniforms become more quiet and less interactive. Not only does the psychological effect come in to play but the self expression and individuality part comes in too. It sends a message to the kids that being different is a bad thing and its not. The thing that researchers say that it can also lead to depression because kids will have to wear the same clothes over and over. Even some hairstyles are not allowed in school. One student had a mohawk at his school and they are not allowed. He was held out of class until he got it cut off.

The reason this is happening is because some students feel more special if they have a more expensive, pair of jeans on. Then someone else has just a regular pair of jeans on. So they think they can push people around because they feel more popular. They need to take the time to realize that see they should not tell kids what to wear, they should have that right to pick what too wear. This does not only happen with fashion but with shoes, backpacks, makeup and other things. They get made fun of for being obese and the way they walk and they way they
