I’ll aim for the face you guys aim for the body!” Dodgeball is a dangerous sport to play in gym class, it can lead to bullying, and targeting. Yes, dodgeball is fun for some people, but for others, not so much. If you are not athletic it is the worst thing in the world to hear that you are playing dodgeball in gym class. Recently principals in Elkton Maryland have began to ban dodgeball from the P.E curriculum. They say that dodgeball is an inappropriate sport because kids are bullying the ones who aren’t very popular or athletic. I agree the principals in Elkton Maryland that dodgeball should be ban. The teachers at the schools in Elkton Maryland have many reasons to ban dodgeball from the P.E curriculum. One being, that the people are the targets. Using people as targets can lead to injuries, bullying, and ganging up on one person. Can you imagine getting slapped in the face by a ball that is used to play kickball! the “athletic” kids think dodgeball is fun, but they’ve never been hit it the face with a rock solid ball that is flying at about two thousand miles per hour. I don’t think that parents would be okay with their children throwing balls at other people. You might say that they are just playing dodgeball in gym class, but if they play it often enough it can lead to them throwing things at people outside of gym because they will think that it’s okay.
