Why We Shouldn T Travel To Mars Research Paper

Intro: Mars is an undeniably interesting and tantalizing planet; though, it has been in the news alot lately. Once the excitement of being able to travel to Mars wears off, the realities may start to set in. I tenaciously believe that humans shouldn't go to Mars, because currently, NASA needs to improve the spacecraft and other technologies used to travel to Mars. Besides, the human bodies are naturally fabricated for Earth's gravity; voyaging to mars can cause health problems and radiation in space can seem to be deadly for humans. Also, sending humans to Mars, is tremendously expensive. The money used to build expensive gears for the exploration could be put to better use in things that would benefit the Earth in a more impactful way.

Good:

Better: There are numerous unforeseen events that can occur enroute to or on Mars. For instance, a human body is made for Earth's gravity. Staying in zero gravity for a long time can cause health issues. These problems can include weakening of bones and muscles and swelling of the optic nerve. We can't send humans to Mars and risk their lives. Also, Earth's magnetic field helps protect us from deadly forms of space radiation. Humans are extremely vulnerable to radiation. Flying to Mars and back may take over a year and …show more content…

Some NASA experts say that the original cost could be much much higher. Based on previous experiences, NASA experts are expecting the final cost to double or triple. By attempting to send humans to Mars, we would divert a great amount of public money from potentially improving life on Earth for millions of people to just putting a few humans on another planet. And there’s a bigger reason for not wasting more money on human trips to nearby desert spheres. We currently aren’t properly funding science right here on Earth. Our young scientists are poised and eager to make important discoveries on the planet where we need them
