William Shakespeare is generally considered the greatest playwright of all time. He was born in April 23, 1564. He grew up in Stratford with his family, and bought property there, but he worked at the center of English theater in London. William Shakespeare was married to Anne Hathaway and had three kids. He became wealthy and famous as an actor, a playwright, and a partner in a leading acting company. He died in April 23, 1516. His style of writing and his inventions made fans imagine and reimagine him according to their own tastes. Shakespeare's first plays were mostly histories except Romeo and Juliet written in the early 1590s. Richard II, Henry VI (parts 1, 2 and 3) and Henry V were the plays that dramatize the damages of weak or corrupt rulers. These plays were Shakespeare's way of describing the origins of the Tudor Dynasty and they were interpreted by drama historians. Shakespeare also wrote numerous comedies during his early period. Some of them are Merchant of Venice, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, Twelfth Night, and so on. It was written in 1604 or earlier. Othello is set in 16th-century Venice and Cyprus. Othello, the Moor, is a noble black general in the Venetian army. He has secretly married a beautiful white woman called Desdemona. Othello’s pennant, Iago, gains secret jealousy and anger towards the Moor because of certain reasons. Committed on revenge, Iago plots a deceitful plan to create suspicions in Othello’s mind that Desdemona has been cheating on him. According to Iago’s plan, Othello strangles Desdemona. Immediately later, her innocence is exposed, and Iago’s deceitfulness revealed. Othello feels guilty very guilty kills himself. Iago is taken into custody by the Venetian authorities. This story is so amazing. It does not have a happy conclusion but it shows how life is surrounded by reality even though we want to stay in our fantasies and dream all the time.
