The Early Modern Period creates a new style of writing compared to previous methods. Writers, primarily poets, change their style of writing from religion to funny and cheerful. One of the most well-known poets of poets of the Early Modern Period is William Shakespeare. Shakespeare is famous for his very deep and very rich sonnets. These sonnets use a rhyme pattern that allows them to flow very smoothly. Shakespeare’s sonnets consist on fourteen lines, where the ending word of the first line and the ending word of the third line rhyme. Shakespeare uses this format in most of his sonnets. A common theme in these sonnets is love. Love is essential to the Early Modern Period because it helps shape the time period. Shakespeare deals with topics
