William Shakespeare is considered by many to be the world’s greatest playwright, he is often known as England’s National Poet and the "Bard of Avon". His other hobbies were collaborations, consist of nearly 38 plays,154 sonnets, two long poems. Almost all of his plays and poems were translated into every major living language and they were performed more often than those of any other playwright. Shakespeare was born on April 1564 and died in 1616 on the same date when he was born. He attended Stratford Grammar School, where he was taught Latin, the language of ancient Rome, and translations from ancient Greek, most of it, he attended at the age of 15. Shakespeare spent most of his time in the city writing and acting, and he was so busy writing plays that he was just able to come home once a year during the 40-day Lenten period when the theaters were closed. Shakespeare was associated with the theatre company known as the Lord Chamberlain’s Men in the early years of the 1590s. Globe Theatre was built in 1996, located on the south bank of the Thames River. It was a three-story building made with wooden, in the center there was an open-air stage where plays were performed. The theatre did not have much artificial lighting or heat, the plays were performed in hot weather, there were no sceneries, often lines of dialogue told the audience where a scene was taking place.
