James Murdock Mr. Powell 3 April, 2024 World History 9B During World War 2 the Nazi party used powerful propaganda to make people think what was good and what was going on. Propaganda is a way to make people think what you want them to think, and to inspire them to do what you want. The Nazis were experts at this, using different types of propaganda to convince people to support their cause. Let's explore three types of propaganda they use. First off, the method that was the best was posters. These posters were colorful and influenced people. They are designed to grab your attention instantly. They often featured crazy images and slogans that promoted Nazi ideas such as Germans are the best race and the idea to take down all the other enemies such as Jews. Through the radio Hitler could speak directly to the people, spreading the propaganda he put out to the Germans and telling them to sport the war. Lastly, the Nazis taught kids that the Aryans were the best and Jews and other people were bad. Textbooks were rewritten so the Nazis looked good and teachers were forced to teach the kids the things the Nazis did and lied about a lot of it. Young people were very targeted because they didn't know what was going on. This made them very loyal to Hitler and their ideas. These three methods of propaganda posters, radio broadcasts and the school system were all part of inspiring the Germans to do bad things. Sadly this crazy propaganda controlled the Germans hearts and minds. It worked because everywhere you looked there were things saying bad but you thought they were good.
