World War I vs. World War II
World War I and World War II are both major events in our world’s history. All though they occurred at different times, these two events have many continuities and changes, such as their causes, methods of warfare, and final outcomes. These two worlds forever changed the ways in which the world we know today developed.
Between the dates of July 28, 1914 and November 11, 1918 there is an era in history known as World War I. World War I was primarily fought in in Europe, Asia, North Africa, Ja-pan, the Middle East, and over the Pacific Ocean (“World War I”). World War I was the first war to ever be fought on sea and land. During World War I soldiers used weapons such as machine guns, flamethrowers, poisonous gases, and aircraft planes and missiles. Some of World War I was fought under the sea with the use of submarines that could shoot from under the waves, and dolphins’ sonar that could detect where the minds were under the ocean. In World War II they used nuclear power and missiles. For secret communica-tion they used a complex encryption code and most commonly used was the submarines and tanks (World War I vs. World War II.) World War II mainly uses gasses and the idea of geno-cide, whereas World War I was known for using combat weapons. World War I ended in 1918 due to the ending of empires and the creation of the League of Nations. The League of Nation was formed in hopes of preventing a horrific occurrence like this from ever happening again, and being the cause of so many deaths (“World War I vs. World War II). World War II ended in 1945 due to the United States invading Auschwitz and defeat-ing the Nazis (“World War II in Europe). The Unites States freed Jews and helps European countries that had been effected by the Holocaust regain their stability. One thing both of these wars have in common is that they were unnecessary massacres. During World War I there were over seventeen million deaths, most of which were combat related.
