United State is one of my desire city to visit and learn concerning politic, economy, and culture. I have been teaching U.S. foreign policy, U.S. economic development post World War II, how politic sustains economic development, how US influences the world trade, the rising of china, nevertheless I have not never been to U.S. and conduct a direct discussion with government, related business, and community leaders. Having meetings with various parties and visit some institutions that affect the US economy and social movement in US will enhance my knowledge and experience. My desire related to the first goal of YSEALI that to strengthen understanding of the U.S. economic development activities and processes. By this way, I will able to adopt appropriate experiences for economic development and my community in Indonesia.

Humans are not able to escape and remove climate change. Civil conflict stands in other side of food scarcity impact. Food conflict will occur when food supply is not able to meet the needs of the total population. The food and population imbalance will drive the civil conflict. In the future, food will become increasingly limited resources, equal with energy. Strategic methods through discussion, research development, cooperation between institutions and community can reduce the impact of climate change, as well as develop a comprehensive strategy by various parties to improve the quality and productivity of food. By the third and fourth goals of YSEALI which are to create partnerships between institutions in the United States and those in Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam and establish a common language to develop practical solutions for shared problems and concerns become a process to reach outcome in solving the food
