Wallace, I have added some new aspects to my list of outstanding leadership skills. This includes being punctual, firm yet fair, and using easy to understand language. Leaders for a highschool activity should always be on time. If your leader is always late, that takes away from useable rehersal time, but if they show up when they are supposed to, you will be able to get done what needs to be done to make the program the best it can be. Also, future leaders really need to learn the concept of firm yet fair.
John Steinbeck’s Of Mice And Men demonstrates some social and political issues in our world today. These issues consist of poverty, fidelity, a lack for mental health support. Steinbeck demonstrates many social and political issues, and treats them with a vision of realism. The United states has a lot of poverty, and during the time of the great depression many people were in poverty, which is the period of time where Of Mice And men takes place.
For instance, a leader must be passionate about the role they play in order to inspire others to join them. They must be able to communicate their thought process in order for outsiders to fully apprehend their vision. Leaders must be committed to carry through their ideas. They must be able to build a solid group foundation in order for them to succeed in the long run. Leaders should be decisive which requires a lot of confidence in themselves and their idea.
Personal Leadership Paper Through the semester in Freshman Seminar (UCOL 1200), I have learned a few important things about myself and leadership. Leadership has always been important to me and UCOL 1200, has reinforced why by teaching me about myself. The first item I learned about myself would be my signature themes. It lets me to understand how my skills separate to three leadership skill approaches. According to our textbook, although all of three skills are important to leaders, the importance of each skill varies between different management levels.
