In chapter one, Joel Samaha discusses the road map of criminal procedure. Throughout the roadmap, the author demonstrates the overall guidelines as to how one is eventually institutionalized. The author claims the vast majority of law abiding citizens seize to surpass the first part of his ideal journey. Thus, Samaha begins with the idea of in public; ultimately, explaining the general supervision of police officers in society. Police officers are responsible in investigating suspicious behavior in public places varying from public streets, roads, highways, public parks and restaurants.
It has been argued that the shift towards patient-conscious medical aid is necessary and that simulation in its widest sense can be used to support this process. However, sensitivity to what we are simulating is essential, especially when simulations purport to address patient perspectives. The essay first reviews the history of medical education "centeredness," then outlines ways in which real and simulated patients are currently involved in medical education. Patient-focused simulation is described as a means of offering patients' perspectives during the acquisition of clinical procedural and surgical skills. The authors draw on their experiences of developing Patient-focused simulation and preliminary work to "authenticate" simulations from patient perspectives.
a. This portfolio shows the educational journey through the BSN program at Western Governors University(WGU). The curriculum at WGU was very challenging, nonetheless it prepared me to become a safe and effective nurse. The BSN curriculum provided avenues to keep me up to date with safe practices and learn how to master therapeutic communication. WGU also helped me sharpen my critical thinking skills in order to make decisions quickly and provide safe and effective care to patients. As the result of my training, I am ready to embark in the field of nursing and do my best to make a difference in my patients lives.
Northwestern’s Problem Based Learning (PBL) curriculum is the primary factor influencing my decision to apply to the PA Program. I strongly believe that a PBL-centered format is the optimal way for me to learn how to practice medicine. Although many PA programs have adopted the PBL system, Northwestern is uniquely equipped to supplement its curriculum with resources such as the Simulation Technology and Immersive Learning Center (STIL Center). Additionally, the Program’s location and affiliations with several esteemed Chicagoland area clinical sites provides students with access to unparalleled clinical learning opportunities. This combination of unique and distinctive features offers an exceptional learning experience to Northwestern PA students.
Pardon & punished are reoccurring themes within Romeo and Juliet. It is also an obvious recurring theme within Shakespeare’s work. At the end of the play the prince says “Pardon means to be forgiven for an act or mistake that you have done or the act of forgiving someone for something they have done. Punished is when you inflict a penalty or sanction against someone who has wronged. The idea of “punishment & Pardoning” are relevant to the play because they represent the good and bad within the play.
Obtaining certification in a specialty area is one way a nurse confirms she has achieved the necessary knowledge and skill within that practice area to be considered above average (Rauen, Shumate, & Gendron-Trainer, 2016). In order to realize my goal of board certification as a master’s prepared informatics nurse, I must first gain the required education, expertise, and competence through classes and practice experiences. This paper will discuss how each MSN core course, each MSN specialty course, and each potential practice experience will improve upon the competencies needed to obtain board certification in informatics after obtaining my MSN from American Sentinel University. MSN Core Courses MSN Role Development (N501PE)
Student work in small groups of four for the psychomotor skill component and feedback was provided to students by student nurse educators on the spot while performing the procedure. Finally, a five questions gaming was provided to measure student’s cognitive retention of the material discussed and the skill gain. The students worked in collaboratively in groups of four to complete the post-quiz and were given feedback on their strengths and weaknesses. The students score higher than 90% on the post-quiz and verbalize collaborative academia learning milieu was permeated with rich intellectual opportunities needed to demonstrate clinical skills and competencies successfully and to further advance their wisdom on catheter insertion and removal. Hence, as a student nurse educator, I feel privileged to contribute to this project and to have made an impact in the lives of students.
The story of Genesis is full of complex meanings and messages that can only be found using the correct frameworks. I believe that using the theological, literary, and scientific frameworks, in addition to comparing and contrasting with other creation stories, is the most fulfilling method of reading Genesis. Using this method creates multiple perspectives that compliment each other to create a broad, yet, intentional perspective. Without this method or an inaccurate method, trying to analyze genesis can create false understandings and misinterpretation of the story. It's important to have a strong understanding of Genesis because how you read it determines how you interpret the rest of the bible.
The theory’s first stage is the attention phase and requires students to pay attention to the skill which is being taught in an environment that is conducive for and provides the necessary condition needed for learning to occur. As the expert nurse educator demonstrates the skill while students’ pay attention by observing what the instructor is demonstrating; this can be seen as role modeling. Therefore, an expert educator demonstrates competently the techniques associated with oral administration of medication; clearly, it is important that student nurses observe this procedure being done. In addition, another important determiner when paying attention has to do with the students’ goals, self-esteem, and competence; all these components are acted upon as each student processes the
Nursing is a most trusted and gratifying profession. As a nurse educator, I will express my passion for teaching by incorporating features such as clinical assessments, practical application of theory, evaluation, and role modeling into advanced nursing practice, from previous experiences and current experience and clinical practicum to find success and gratification in students chosen profession as well empowering leaners to develop their own strengths, beliefs, and personal attributes to become a good professional. Personally, I do have a positive attitude towards the personal and professional growth, and value ongoing learning and will stive to instill the same into my students learnig journey .. My objective as a Nurse Educator
The curriculum allows students a hands-on medical approach in the Clinical Simulation Learning Center for those that are enrolled at NYU. The simulation lab has high technology manikins that resemble a real patient. These
Agile is not only the changing in software development process. It is the developing an environment in which Agile team makes more innovative work. Agile introduced the self-organization that makes the environment more creative. Agile team cannot give significant performance in bureaucratic culture (Zaineb et al., 2012).

It is widely accepted that most nursing students are kinesthetic learners and prefer to learn “by doing” (Fitzgerald & Keyes, 2019). In rather sharp contrast, traditional nursing education models have followed a rigidly structured modality, with didactic content delivered
I was fortunate to be able to observe academic education of nursing students at DeSales University. This education was held in a classroom setting on Mondays and Wednesdays. My observation time was 16 hours in which I observed Alyssa Robertson prepare for class, prepare exams, give lectures, provide hands on education, assist students in learning, and provide support to students. I also observed many student interactions and learning techniques. The learners were NU 220 Pharmacology and NU 230 Therapeutic Nursing Interventions students.
