CASA stands for court appointed court advocates and is a program that has been created to stand up for children in the foster care system and to help them fight for a safe home ("National Court Appointed). The mission statement for CASA is together with state and local member programs CASA supports and promotes court-appointed volunteer advocacy so every abused or neglected child in the U.S. can be safe, have a permanent home and opportunity to thrive ("National Court Appointed). I really connect with CASA because in the future I would love to either foster, adopt or both. I would love to give a permanent home to a child who has no real place to call home. At the sisterhood retreat we had a CASA advisor come to us talk about her job.

Howard University is a predominantly black school, expressing excellence, leadership, truth and service I could contribute to the legacy of Howard University in many ways. Growing up I've always wanted to gain the experience of a historically black college or university. As a member of the National Beta Club we promote the ideals of academic achievement and leadership. Being apart of the National Beta Club caused me to strive for my goals and take leadership in all that I do. The mission statement states "To promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students."

In order for a mission statement to reflect an organization’s true purpose it must address four key areas of service. The addressed areas include what the organization does, and how they achieve their goals (Hull, 2013). It must also address for whom they achieve those goals, and what value they bring to those they serve (Hull, 2013). HCA’s mission statement addresses all of these areas. HCA’s mission statement reads, “Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life.

Without a doubt, OU-HCOM provides an excellent medical education with numerous learning opportunities for research and clinical work at Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital. The unique location of OU-HCOM in Cleveland, an urban area with a diverse patient population will expose me to countless experiences that will help mold me into a more well-rounded, compassionate, and skilled physician. I want a school in an urban environment with a diverse patient population that will prepare me to practice medicine in a similar setting. Being a Volunteer at Beaumont Hospital, I was privileged to work with diverse groups of volunteers and people. I converse with them and develop new friendships that exposed me to many traditions and cultures I had been unaware of.
I joined because I wanted to understand the community that I would be taking part in for the entirety of my undergraduate degree. The community itself was within Central Valley, California, which was also known to be largely medically underserved and economically disadvantaged. I was able to witness this firsthand, as a college student focused on pursuing medicine, the impact of healthcare disparities, and social determinants of health. These experiences have instilled in me a commitment to serving and empowering marginalized communities. By actively engaging with other campus-based organizations and promoting health education initiatives, I aspire to contribute to RFU’s community outreach efforts and foster positive change in the communities
Indeed, even for those HCO’s that they try to help the community get either healthier or healing the sick in order to reach a complete well-being on physical, mental, medical and social might fail to do so to cover all aspects of the people well-being because of the preconceived notions from their patient prospective that you only reach these HCO’s mostly due to a sever illness. The HCO’s often advertise their mission and vision statements either via radio waves or on the high way billboard for no reason but to justify their existence and it is sole purpose. moreover, its intention often said that the HCO’s mission statement is meant for employee to clarify the purpose of the organization and it often change yearly depends of the direction

However, I have chosen to apply only to the University of Michigan’s EMHSA program. Other than the fact that School of Public Health at the University of Michigan consistently ranks among the top programs in the country, it is the only program that takes an execution- focused approach to various aspects of healthcare delivery by offering courses like Leadership/Capstone, Health IT Management, Spreadsheet Modeling, Biostatistics and Health Economics. Several, if not all, programs offer these courses in some format, however, the University of Michigan’s program brings all these areas together. This, in my opinion, makes the program unique and strong. Further, I am a resident of Ann Arbor and the proximity of the institution to my home and work will allow me to achieve a balance between my full time position, personal life and school
The American Hospital Association's (AHA) Vision statement says that "The AHA vision of a society of healthy communities, where all individuals reach their highest potential for health. After I graduate from with an MPH I plan to be certified as a public health professional and I aspire to work for organizations such as Center of Disease Control, World Health Organization, and United States Agency for International Development. I believe that George Washington University/Milken Institute School of Public Health will enable me to reach my goals in life and create a lasting impact in society. GW’s program is one of the leading public health universities in the United States and it would be an honor and an admirable trait to be able to attend and successfully graduate from a school of such prestige. In addition, the online format for the MPH program is conducive and beneficial to my learning experience due to its flexibility and attainability; it allows me to receive quality education while continuing with the rigors of life.
