GW’s program is one of the leading public health universities in the United States and it would be an honor and an admirable trait to be able to attend and successfully graduate from a school of such prestige. In addition, the online format for the MPH program is conducive and beneficial to my learning experience due to its flexibility and attainability; it allows me to receive quality education while continuing with the rigors of life.
The Public Health club has a lot of potential beyond what it has already produced. My vision for the club is that we embrace all majors, and make public health applicable to various interests and studies. Public Health is massive field that covers every aspect of our daily lives, and I want others to understand that. In achieving this, I hope to bring about education on various careers that utilize public health that many wouldn’t think do. There are also reports and petitions wanting PSHE to become statutory (PSHE Association, 2016) (PSHE Association, 2015). Health education as a new included statutory subject within the national curriculum could mean that the most important themes within PSHE and citizenship regarding health could be taught within Health Education. Health Education can benefit pupil’s general education, by applying knowledge to enable pupils to make their own decisions regarding their own health as well as adapting their health behavior.
