So I've run into a few people who abstained, voted third party, or even voted trump because they just couldn't put their pro life ideology aside so I wanted to talk a little about abortion and why I will be pro choice until the day I die.
No one is thrilled about abortion. You don't have to be to be pro choice. It's an unfortunate necessity for people who do not have better options.
Not everyone can support a child. Not everyone can safely raise a child.

For people who were mentally ill prior to their unwanted pregnancy carrying a child to term can be disastrous. Many SSRIs and antipsychotics are advised against during pregnancy.
Unwanted pregnancies caused nearly 700,000 maternal deaths in the years 1995-2000.
The majority of unwanted pregnancies occur among low income people without access to birth control or proper sex education. A healthy pregnancy and birth without insurance costs up to $50,000. Because of these high costs prenatal care during unwanted pregnancies is inadequate for the child and mothers health.
Many of the pro life politicians also have plans to repeal the affordable care act, making health insurance even harder to get for low income families, and also obstructing easy, cheap access to birth control.
