The “perpetrator” then reflects on their comment and feels guilty for it then transforms their attitude so they aren’t the “bad guy” anymore. I believe that forgiveness allows the perpetrator a chance for inner transformation and “to escape the whirlpool of wrongdoing” (Matthieu Ricard- 236)that they may feel caught
If you don’t forgive someone it can haunt you for the rest of your life and may affect how you see different objects and
Furthermore, it is true that forgiving doesn’t make all wrongs okay, but forgiving is not the same as forgetting. It is possible to forgive someone, but not want to pursue a relationship with them. Executing resentment towards someone is not the same as continuing interactions with them. For example,
Eva Kor says, “They can take a piece and a pen and write a letter to someone who hurt them. Please do not mail it to that person. It's for you to know that you forgive, and you can go on with your life without a burden and pain that the Nazis or anybody else ever imposed on you”(It's for you to know 3) You don't have to tell the person yourself that you forgive but you can move on by forgiving them for yourself. This helps people to move on so that they are forgiving and that they can be healed.
Although, not everything/everyone deserves to be forgiven, forgiveness is necessary to be genuinely happy because holding onto something will cloud your vision and overwhelm someone with emotions. If you can never let go and forgive someone, holding onto something will eat away at your happiness or even distract you from being happy. From personal experience, I once got into an argument with my best friend who I would spend everyday talking to. We were a part of each other’s daily lives and would always be there for each other. Until one day we got into a heated argument and began to
Forgiveness is a theological theme that resided with me while reading Nadia Boltz- Weber’s book, and I see it now more than ever in my past. Chapter 7 in the book shows how she forgives her friend Candace for relapsing and taking up her time, and how she also forgives herself for letting Candace’s friendship go so that Nadia could move on with her life in a positive way. There are three events in my life where I have forgiven others and myself for various things and these events have shaped me into the person I am today.
It’s only a fortunate few who are given the chance to atone for their sins. Committed sins create problem between friend, family and others. Forgiveness is not an easy thing to do when things have gone extremely wrong. “To err is human, to forgive divine” (Charu. B) That means committing errors is human, to forgive is divine.
Knowing that a loved one bothered you and showing them the mercy is a part of forgiveness that is an effect of that connection. That’s because breaking that connection is worse than any other emotion. Diane Ackerman's states “It is an emotion that scares us more than cruelty, more than violence, more than hatred. Giving an Apology and Asking for Forgiveness “Despite what you may believe, you can disappoint people and still be good enough. You can make mistakes and still be capable and talented. You can let people down and still be worthwhile and deserving of love. Everyone has disappointed someone they care about. Everyone messes up, lets people down, and makes mistakes.

Click, click, click. Click click. A long yawn stretches out of my mouth. I try to close my mouth, but some force disagrees with me and widens it back up. Finally, the war ends and my face rests once again.
Prior to Kuhn’s 1962, “The Structure of Scientific Revolutions”, Karl Popper and Donald Campbell agreed the existence of specific thought processes derived from the evolutionary theory but, expanded their thinking when determining the scientific method is social (requiring language leading to social interactions which leads to rational endeavors or cognition), according to Wettersten (2016). This advanced from earlier thinking that scientists’ observations were the source of all knowledge (Wettersten). Thomas S. Kant (1962), on the other hand, felt the theories, facts, and methods scientists were compiling were neither historically organized nor were the scientists of a specific field, being educated in a rigorous and rigid manner. Kant believed that normal science problems did not lead to new findings, rather it was addressing only the theoretical side of science (Hacking, 2012) whereby research data was being made to fit in with the existing knowledge. Socrates was a great philosopher of the Greek world. He was quite an atypical and distinctive person. Being different from all the other philosophers of the land, Socrates was teaching his students ideas totally out of the ordinary from what the society believed was right. As a result, he displeased many people so much that they decided to get rid of him. Socrates was put to trial, accused of spoiling the youth of Athens, tried and sentenced to death.
