Jay then had stated in his second testimony that he dropped off Adnan back at school at 12:30 after shopping with him at the mall where Adnan supposedly said that he would kill Hae. After dropping him off they met up at Best Buy where Jay saw Hae dead in the trunk. Jay also stated in another testimony that they met at Edmondson Avenue and then in another testimony, it was at a strip
However, what doesn’t make sense is that several hours later when Jenn and Wilds came back, Cathy recalls that they were smoothing it over and acting like what happened was no big deal, like they were trying to hide something big. This leads me to the conclusion that they were trying to hide the fact that Syed just killed Hae, because people usually aren’t so secretive over friends getting high and being on the phone with police
On a different note, Adnan and Hae’s relationship had to be kept secret because their parents did not approve of them dating, which means the Adnan was under a lot of pressure to keep the relationship a secret. When Hae broke up with Adnan, Adnan would have felt betrayed and hurt that someone he gave up so much for didn’t want to be with him anymore. These feelings would have built up inside of Adnan occasionally slipping out in joking comments like, “I’m going to kill that *****”. Adnan probably didn’t plan to murder Hae, he most likely snapped and killed Hae in the heat of the moment says another case specialist. Sometimes, when a person snaps like that they suffer memory loss of the event and cannot remember what they did.
In fact, I think it only further corroborates my theory that Jay killed Hae on his own and then pointed to Adnan. Because if you were in possession of your friend’s car and your friend’s phone, how would you make it look like your friend was with you? By calling someone in your friend’s phonebook whom you did not know. During the trial, the lawyers question Nisha about a time in which Adnan called her and then put Jay—at Jay’s insistence—on the phone to say hello. While Nisha confirms that such a call did happen, she is adamant that it was made from the adult video store where Jay worked.
Adnan Syed was falsely accused of the horrific murder of Hae Min Lee in 1999. Hae’s body was discovered at Leakin Park, Baltimore. Adnan’s friend, Jay Wilds, told the police Adnan killed Hae and he helped him bury the body. With very little confirmed evidence, Adnan was convicted of her murder. The state used Jay’s testimony and cell phone records to build a case against him.
Jay did a testimony about what happened with their breakup, but can we really trust jay on this? (He has lied about 3 times or maybe even more who knows). I don’t buy Adnan's motive to kill Hae. Because not one person said he was acting strange. Also Hae and Adnan were still friends.
The fact that he asked her for a ride after school, means it should put him together with Hae at around the time of her alleged death. Furthermore, the police investigation revealed that she had died at around 2:36, because there was a call made at that time where Adnan is said to have told Jay to come pick him up post-murder. Since this pins Adnan to Hae close to the time of her murder, it makes him a likely suspect and gives the police evidence to prove him guilty. Another detail that proves Adnan’s involvement with her murder is Jay’s own involvement with the crime. Jay was the one who confessed to the police that he helped Adnan hide Hae's
The case of Adnan Syed murdering Hae Min Lee hasn’t been solved in over two decades. The murder of Hae Min Lee has not been solved in over 2 decades. Her accused murderer Adnan Syed was acting suspicious the night she went missing. After school, he asked her for a ride and then there was a note he wrote stating “I’m going to kill”. The evidence shows that Adnan Syed should have been convicted of her murder.
Adnan, along with Jay Wildes, were proven to be involved in the murder, but no hard evidence concludes who strangled her. Many clues found in this case suggest that Adnan did not strangle Hae himself, but the evidence proves that he was otherwise involved in the planning and execution of this
A month later her body was found in Leakin Park by a maintanance guy who went deep into the woods to pee. Hae was strangled to death by her ex-boyfriend. Did Adnan kill Hae because she broke up with him and was with another guy? Adnan says he doesn’t remember what happened on that day but a friend of his name Jay does.
To add towards this reason. Adnan had to get out of school and drive to the best buy to kill Hae in the 21 minutes. If Hae was killed around 2:15 and between 2:36 at the best buy parking lot. If Adnan did kill Hae he would not have time to get out of school and get in his car and drive to best buy and kill Hae and still make it back to school on time for track. Jay says Adnan calls him from a phone booth but when Sarah Koenig went to the best buy were Jay says Adnan called him after killing Hae was never there and even when Sarah checks the company's blueprints and the and the landlord of the best buy and they all say there was never a phone booth
In 1999, the city of Baltimore had more than 300 murders. Hae Min Lee is one of the 300 murdered that year. At just 18 years old, Hae Min Lee was strangled on January 13th, 1999 at 2:36 PM. At 2:00 PM Adnan Syed had asked Hae if she could give him a ride so they could “talk”, he then proceeded to strangle her. Around five hours later, Adnan and Jay buried her body in Leakin Park.
Did Adnan Syed really kill his ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee? Adnan was convicted in this case even through the lack of evidence, his phone records, and his friend Asia’s letter stating where he was at the time. Adnan Syed should not have been convicted of this murder. The lack of evidence on Adnan Syed should not have convicted him. When the detectives interviewed Adnan, they did not find any good thorough evidence.
Adnan can’t be considered guilty if there isn’t enough evidence present for a jury to make such as life changing decision. The only evidence used in this case was one testimony and the defendant’s phone records. The testimony was made by Jay Wilds who was with Adnan during the time of Hae’s disappearance. He stated that Adnan planned everything ahead of time and asked him to help after her death. Jay admitted to helping with the disposal of the body, but he’s testimony doesn’t sound trustworthy.
This proves that Adnan was the one who killed her. Jay and Adnan both committed a serious crime. Adnan killed Hae with the help from
