Adolf Hitler is widely known as one of the most notorious men to ever walk this Earth. He was an evil man we all know for the mass genocide of millions of Jews during the World War Two era. We know of the horrible things Hitler has done through the stories of many Jews that escaped the awful concentration camps they were placed in. You will learn about the stages of Adolf Hitler's life leading up to his dictatorship of Germany, this will include his childhood years, his young adult years, his years in the military, and finally his years as Germany’s dictator.

Humiliation along with defeat caused Hitler to question his whole sense of self worth. While still in the Army, Hitler had to bring a report on a far-right group that was developing. The group was known as the Nazi Party. Realizing he agreed with their anti-semitic beliefs, he joined the party. Hitler’s speaking ability accelerated his rise to the top of his new party. He spoke to almost 6,000 people in Munich.(www.bbc.co.uk). To make the meeting known to the public, he used propaganda tricks like sending supporters out in trucks with swastikas. The party’s creators were not happy with Hitler’s increasing popularity. They tried to weaken his influence, but it had the complete opposite effect. Hitler resigned and would not return until he was given sole control of the party. While Germany’s government was about to collapse, Hitler wanted to start a revolution. While the Bavarian Prime Minister was addressing a meeting of business leaders, Hitler came bursting in with storm troopers. The next day, Hitler was the leader of 3,000 men onto the streets, but police were waiting for them and the violence erupted, resulting in 16 Nazis and 3 police deaths, as a result of this Hitler was sentenced to 5 years in prison, but he served just 9 months of this sentence.(www.bbc.co.uk). When Hitler became a German citizen, he and the Nazis became the largest political party in Germany. “The Nazis held over 37% of the popular vote of the country’s election in 1932.”(www.bbc.co.uk). Shortly after this in, 1933, Hitler started to exclude Jews from most public activities(www.bbc.co.uk). Hitler then looked for territorial expansion for Germany, the first place he looked was Lebensraum. Hitler made gambles while he was the dictator of Germany some of them worked and some of them did not. Hitler had a pact with the Soviets, but because of his hatred of Communism, he declared war on them as well. This was a bad mistake because this added another powerful ally to the Allies side. Around this time, Hitler began the segregation and the extermination of the Jews.
