During the early stages of a child’s development children undergo various different aggression stages. As a part of growing up aggression is a part of a child’s development and as a way of expressing emotions. A child may be tired or hungry and might use aggressive like behavior as a response to these feelings. Most children can outgrow this and learn to deal with this situation differently as they grow up but, if not dealt with these aggressive stages overtime can develop into a larger issue in their adulthood lives. One of the main drives for children’s aggression can be caused by parent’s behaviors and parenting style. Any child from any family, regardless of the child's initial aggression levels, their intellectual capabilities, social status, parents' education or occupation, can experience aggression in the early stages of child development (Huesmann, 2003). Poor parenting without any discipline to bad behavior are also factors to aggressive children they tend to start to think it is acceptable to act bad. It is vital to not punish bad behavior with hitting or violence. There are alternate ways to handling aggression that parents as well as caregivers can teach children that bad behavior is unacceptable. Talking to children about their inappropriate behavior and penalizing with simple methods like timeouts or verbal communication on alternate ways of expressing their anger to an appropriate matter.
