Alexander the Great: Life of a Leader
Do you know Alexander the Great? One of the most successful leaders that ever lived? Great leadership means that you are successful and cooperative with your team. Also having great leadership means that when needed you can be impactful. A great leader means that you aren’t selfish because no one would support a leader that does not help the community. In order to be a great leader you have to take your team's thoughts and see how or if you could use them to help your team. Alexander was a hero and should be remembered by historians as Alexander the Great. This was good practice though because it gave him experiences and strategies of how to plan and win a war. He was also taught by the famous philosopher Plato(Play-dOh). Second, once Alexander came into power he was very successful. It was almost like he battled in wars and won every day! He battled Persia once and won by his smart strategies as always. He was very smart and very good at making plans to win wars. He conquered so many places that kept on adding and adding to his huge empire. Lastly, Before Alexander the Great came into power, many civilizations were at war, trying to conquer each other’s land or region. But soon, when Alexander came into power, a lot of the land in Europe such as Egypt, Persia, etc. was conquered by him and his team. Alexander’s father had a dream to conquer these lands and soon after he passed away Alexander continued to fulfill his journey to honor him and make his father proud. Firstly, Alexander the Great was a very great leader and was quite smart when it came to battles or wars. He would always figure out a plan that would lead his team to win. For example, when he was at war with Persia he was outnumbered with soldiers. Persia had too many soldiers to count! He thought of a plan and decided to lead them to a narrow coastline which made their advantage of having more soldiers less valuable. Secondly, Alexander the Great had a bad moment though. He killed his friend while he was drunk. I don't think this makes him a villain because it was not on purpose. He only killed him because he was drunk and wasn’t thinking straight. Lastly, He conquered many places. In order to win the support of many people, he honored and helped to celebrate many local traditions in towns he came across during his journey of conquering. Alexander was a hero based on his successful leadership and expansion of his empire. These acts made many people support him during his journey and honored him as a great hero and
