In the examined short story, All Summer in a Day by Ray Bradbury is a futuristic tale of a young girl, Margot, who can only remember very little about how clear the sky was without the endless rain. She was bullied for her foolish ideas by the other kids in her class constantly, making her a frail target. The problems in this story will be focused on how the individual characters of the story react to the conflicts that follow along the plot. The following main conflicts in this story are how wrongly Margot is being treated amongst the other kids for her obsession of the sun. Another conflict in the tale is the reaction the children give once the rain has stopped and experienced the sun for the first time only after realizing a mistake they have made. She is waiting patiently for the sun to make an appearance when it has been constantly raining for the last seven years. She speaks to the audience of what her first experience was feeling and remembering the embrace of the sun. In the story, it explains the past of Margot as the following ,”...She remembered the sun and the way the sun was and the sky was when she was four in Ohio”. With such experiences, Margot is different from the other children and is told how the sun will never come out since it was only a joke.
