Creative art helps children in all areas of their development. It is important that practitioners plan activities with the child`s overall development in mind. Creativity and imagination are a huge part of all curriculum areas and contributes to children`s development in all areas of learning. Through the arts children express their feeling , thoughts and responses.it gives the child potential to explore, discover, invent and experiment which are vital skills to imagination and creativity. Creativity increases motivation, creates high levels of achievement and self-esteem. .It also prepares them for their working life in the future. Play is essential for children to learn. Children learn from their peers, they improve their language, social and interaction skills .Use of creative play materials, imaginative thinking and problem solving. The child`s environment is critically important for the child to excel in all areas of their development. Froebel believed that children expressed themselves through playing on their own and with others. I am going to do six observations on a child in my setting in different areas of the classroom for 15 to 20 minutes. I will link theories to my observations .The assignment will reflect on the Montessori school of the study child to look at the way it supports children’s creative thinking.
I will ask approval from the child`s parent to carry out the observations. I wrote a letter and asked the mother to sign the letter ( see appendix). All the information used after the assignment is complete will be destroyed. I asked the child for permission to complete the observations. I will changed the child`s name to false initials for legal and confidential reasons. All observations with be shared with the parents of the
