Teachers are available to the students for a limited time only, it is up to the student to pay attention, do their homework and exercise self-discipline. An interest in learning can develop when the material that is being introduced is connected to a student's enjoyment. According to John Locke's “Some Thoughts Concerning Education”, the reason why a child loves to play and not learn is because they are forced to learn and not forced to play. If children learn with the same attitude as they play they will be better learners.
