Testing on animals Animal testing often kills the animals or harms them in one way or another. Sometimes it can make them lose their hair, hearing, or go ravid. They can also lose their sense of smell, vision,and or movement in parts of their bodys. Some people say that animal testing is needed. However, in vitro (in glass) testing, such as studying cells cultures in a petri dish, can produce more relevant results than animal testing because human cells can be used. Animal testing should not be used because it can unnecessarily kill many animals. Later tests on pregnant mice, rats, guinea pigs, cats, and hamsters did not result in birth defects unless the drug was administered at extremely high doses. Animal tests on the arthritis drug Vioxx showed that it had a protective effect on the hearts of mice, yet the drug went on to cause more than 27,000 heart attacks and sudden cardiac deaths before being pulled from the market. It should stop because if we keep killing animals millions a year after awhile they will start becoming extinct. Some people might argue that god gave us animals to have to eat and use for purposes on earth like testing; but others will saying we are also here and what's the difference between us and animals. During animal-testing they hurt and often torture the animals and what’s really sad is that most people also have their own pets they go to everyday but they work all day killing animals the same to theirs. Start helping organizations to save these poor lonely animals there is no point to killing them they are not making that many discoveries with these animals they need this to stop call local organizations today or send money
