“Animal cruelty should not take place if men truly understand the command to be “caretakers” of the earth” (What Does the Bible Say). This quote reflects on the way animals are to be treated by man, and how as people should protect these innocent animals from over killing and abuse. In addition, the video ANIMAL TESTING: some facts state that Labs or other facilities that condone animal testing have emphasize that there is evidence supporting that animal research benefits human, but there is no such evidence (ANIMAL TESTING). Moreover, new alternatives are being cultivated in many different labs that could make animal testing vanish. Even though animal testing can help find new cures, the use of animals for testing is cruel and inhumane because animals can feel just like a human being or living thing. These emotions are not taken into count when they take innocent creatures away from their natural habitat to put them through suffrage away from their families in to cages and series of test, while there is new technology that could prevent it. In a study carried out by the UK in 2012 “Over 70% of experiments were carried out without providing the animals with a local or general anesthetic” (What is Animal Testing?).
Today there is what is called The Animal Welfare Act which “is the source of all federal rules and regulations governing the use of laboratory animals” (Federal Laboratory). This act as much as it does help the animals in the way that their cages must be maintained and properly made for the animal, but it does not help detain the abuse that these are animals receive.
