Animals are used for a vast number of different products, continuously poked with needles, cut open, having food and water withheld from them, poisoned, left in a small, cold metal cage. Animals that are used for animal testing often suffer an immense amount, and typically end up dying at the end of the experiment. If they do not die, they may be killed or used for another experiment. In most cases animals are being caused harm for only a slight chance of the product really working for humans, humans and animals have a different reaction to most products. Industries always have to be ahead of each other, competing, and coming up with new materials.

Every year over 100 million animals are burned, crippled, poisoned and abused. Why? The reason is animal testing. Back in 450 B.C., the first animal vivisection was done and that is when we were able to get a good understanding of how the body works. Now in the 21st century, animals are constantly being tested on, but it is not just so we can understand how the body works.
There is one animal almost extinct because of testing and that is the chimpanzees and they are endangered and high risk of being extinct. So if they don’t stop testing on chimpanzee they will be extinct and that will be bad.

A lot of people believe animal testing is a good thing, but why should animals be tested if they aren’t the same as human beings. Animal testing shows that we as humans care for each other when we need cures, but it also shows that we can be cruel. Animal testing first began in the Early Greek times by scientists such as Aristotle, which occurred back in 322 BC (2). Throughout the many years, animal testing has mainly been occurring in the United States.
Currently, there are two opposite sides of the problem. On the one hand, there are scientists, who think that there is no better way than to do such experiments and on the other, there are people, who care about animals, treat them almost equally to themselves and want to fight for their rights. While scientists may be equipped with some good points concerning the issues, there are a few fundamental reasons why animal testing should be stopped. The first issue involves technological matters.
