E-book is not yet that useful and practical tool as printed book. Reading e-books was not that high because they are not enjoying it and they find the comprehension of digital text challenging.
RRL:
Michael Hart started using computer to store, retrieve, search information, and started Project Gutenberg on 1991. It was named as e-books. Since that, Project Gutenberg creates thousands of free texts that can be accessed online so it became digital library of e-Books or electronic books. Electronic books are extension of academic libraries in providing information. Vassilou (2008) defines e-book into two parts; the first part summaries the essential and reasonably stable nature of e-books.It refers to the digital object with textual and/or other contents or the result of integrating the common concept of a book; the difference is that the e-books has a features for it is in a electronic environment. The second part is the in-use of features. The features will become less significant due to the vast advancement in technology. Some universities have decided to used e-books for the students because e-book or electronic books are just the electronic version of a traditional textbooks.
