In this paper, I have reviewed two articles that are “The Semantic Web Vision” and “The Semantic Web Revisited”. The articles first explain the definition and working of Semantic Web. The articles also provide detailed information on component and important terms in Semantic Web. In the first article, the author gives examples to understand the function of Semantic Web in World Wide Web. The second article is focused towards advancements made in the Semantic Web field. In the last, the articles focused towards improvements needed in the semantic web field.

It is based on the original Scientific American article on the Semantic Web appeared in 2001[1]. The article discusses concepts related to semantic web in depth. The article explains the need for converting documents to data and information. It also helps us to understand the importance of data integration from the perspective of giving the semantics to data. RDF is Resource Description Framework It is used to represent information on the World Wide Web. URI is Universal Resource Identifier which is assigned by RDF to its individual fields. The computer can easily process the information because RDF provides the meaning of terms and concepts. RDF stores information in the form of a graph where nodes represent URI and link between nodes represent meaning. XML is eXtensible Markup Language used to represent data in the form of tags, attributes, and elements. RDF uses XML to exchanging recordings and graphs also known as RDF/XML.
