If there was a choice on learning how to eat healthy, would that opportunity be taken upon? If there was a choice to eat another delicious french fry and that person was to gain a pound by eating it, would they take the risk? Today in the United States, it happens to be one of the nations with the highest rates of obesity. Children are the targets of early obesity. Fast food restaurants are the reason why this nation has become obese. Some people are unaware that fast foods are high in fats. These foods are also high in calories, for instance if you order a crispy chicken salad from McDonald’s it will contain 36 grams of fat, which may sound healthy but if there is to consider there are ingredients that are high in calories such as the breading of the crispy chicken and dressing. People who consume fast food should be more aware of their calorie intake for what they are eating so that they are able to know that fast food is not a reliable source of feeding the body. “Fast food consumption and out-of-home eating behavior is a main risk factor for lower diet quality, higher calorie and fat intake and lower micronutrients density of diet. Frequent consumption of fast foods was accompanied with overweight and abdominal fat gain, impaired insulin and glucose homeostasis, lipid and lipoprotein disorders, induction of systemic inflammation and oxidative stress.
