Are The Similarities Between Kellymom And Gerber's Credibility?

At times you may be confused about what websites to trust. Although, when it something as important as breastfeeding, guessing is not an option. Today, I will be comparing two websites and their credibility. The websites I have chosen are KellyMom and Gerber. The reason why I chose them is because Gerber is a known brand. It will allow me to compare the credibility of a well-known brand’s website and a website that isn’t as well known. I will begin with Gerber and its credibility as a nutrition source. Gerber is a company website. Nestle is an affiliate of Geber, meaning it is a subsidiary group to Nestle. As for advertising, it is certainly there. One difference is that Gerber’s information is very vague. For moms that have detailed questions, they won’t find much of their answers there. KellyMom has in depth information. KellyMom has an impeccable amount of details. It leaves no room for questions or misunderstandings. Secondly, they both have a list of benefits which I mentioned in their similarities. They both include the roughly the same information, but that’s where the similarities end. Gerber has one quick video about the benefits of breastfeeding. Although, that won’t suffice for inquiring mothers who may want to know how these benefits could be true. On the other hand KellyMom has an article on the benefits of breastfeeding and all of their information stated is backed up by scientific evidence whilst listing resources at the end. Thirdly, Gerber has advertisements as I have stated earlier. These ads are usually about Gerber’s formula. That would make mom’s minds wander into giving formula. Kelly Mom has a sponsor every month. Although, I have watched their sponsor over the span of two months. Both of those sponsors were relating to breastfeeding. Fourthly, Gerber has a better visual appeal. It has a bright colors and pictures to attract your eyes. In Gerber’s one minute video on breastfeeding benefits they have special effects and simple phrases to show the benefits. Also the organization of the information is very casual and easy to interpret. KellyMom doesn’t have that pop of color nor does it have the same of organization of information. It has a formal way of formatting the information. Lastly, Gerber does not show the authors. KellyMom does show the authors and their credibility. For example it says what credibility that author has. Also, Gerber doesn’t cite references. KellyMom does cite their resources and references. They also include separate articles on the resources. Those are the differences I could identify between the two websites. I would
