There are many problems that we have to face here in the United States. One of the main problems that are starting to grow is gun control. Gun control is becoming a very serious problem, and if don’t try to fix it, society can start to fall apart. Over these past two decades, there have been many gun related incidents that have happened here across the United States: school shootings, public massacres, sprees of havoc, and much more. Sixty-nine recorded mass shootings have been recorded since 1989. Majority of the victims of these outrageous acts of terror are just innocent people. Most of these tragic events end up being a calamity. Fatalities are especially hard to deal with, especially for the loved ones who worlds are turned upside down. The point that I am going to be arguing is the use of more regulations and better authority over gun control here in the United States. Laws and regulations are needed to be implemented for the enforcement of gun ownership. This would strengthen the safety and use of firearms in the U.S. It would also attempt to stop acts of violence that take place. Background checks also need to be highly administered to the customers of potential owners of the firearms. Routine checks should be in order as well; a person can change dramatically over time. For example, a handful crimes that are committed have been pointed to the reason of being in a state of mental-illness. Somewhere along the line where a person is perfectly fine to mentally unstable to own weapons, red flags should be raised, which temporarily revokes the privilege of the use of their guns on the grounds of their own safety and the people around them.
