As the United States has evolved and progressed throughout the almost 250 years of its existence, it has been an ever changing society. Issues and practices that were initially viewed as negative socially have since become mainstream and more widely accepted. The use of marijuana, having been an offense in states as well as more publicly accepted, is no different and once that generates important discussion for the U.S. economy. The legalization of the use of marijuana can have positive effects on the country as well as ridding away the the underground market that is flourishing with its practice.
