Stem Cell: Quadriplegic Stem cell treatments can be helpful many people all across the world ,however there are many different types of stem cell research and transplant some of which include adult stem cells or embryonic stem cell transplants. Adult stem cell transplant and embryonic stem cell transplant they are both stem cell therapies that are safe and effective. There is some controversy about embryonic stem cell treatments and therapies because they are using an embryo that is fertilized with the potential to become human, but is being used for research.

An Autologous transplant is a stem cell transplant from his or her own stem cells. Then an Allogeneic transplant is a stem cell transplant from a stem cell donor and it take his or her stem cells. Autologous transplant is more likely to work because it is the patient's own DNA so the body won’t react to the transplant and with an Allogeneic they have to find a person with a similar match of DNA to the patient. They have to look for leukocyte antigens (HLA) that makes each person’s tissues to all be different which are found on white blood cell surfaces throughout the body.Transplants like these are usually done with siblings or family members because of the similar DNA. Stem cell research goes above and beyond ways to do research, cloning, and transplants there are ways to have your own cells stored in case you get a disease later on in life.
