American Diet A well known argument is the American Diet .While many people may say that American Diet is healthy I am here to prove that is incorrect and say that it is truly unhealthy and there needs to be a change. With our cars, foods , houses, and clothes being bigger than other countries average it is time for a change in the United States. A lot of Americans are eating more calories than they should daily.For example Ms.Mead the health teacher showed us a McDonald’s Large Shake contains 900 calories,and we only need 2,000 - 2,500 a day. That is ⅓ of the amount of calories we need in a day in a single drink. Hungryforchange.tv showed us that Processed foods such as Fritos Chips, and Doritos can be very addictive and having you eat more than whats acceptable for a good diet.The reason why this happens is the chemicals in the processed foods work on the dopamine in your brain,but once these chemicals wear off your back up to eating the processed foods and thats how the vicious cycle works. With processed foods being more addictive and having you eat more you’ll be gaining even more calories and no nutrients which equals up to not being a good diet. ’’Eating On The Run’’ also known as Multi tasking with eating. If someone were to multi task with eating they will not be paying attention to how much they are eating and be eating too much. An ‘’eating on the run’’ we all know is the movie theatres with popcorn, you are watching the movie without even realising that your large popcorn is already half empty with the previews still rolling.With Americans not even knowing how much they have just ate it’s an easy way to make a unhealthy
