Have you ever wondered how the products you use are tested before being distributed?
A common practice used in testing products is the use of animals. The use of animals for testing products have become a controversial topic in present day society. Some see no harm in using animals as test subjects while others deem it an unfit practice. Even though there are relevant results by testing on animals, such results can also be found by testing in some vitro. I am against animal testing because animals have rights, there are alternative methods for testing products and some deem to punish animals more than needed. Generally speaking, as debated by many animal rights activist, animals have rights just like we as humans have rights. “Animals have …show more content…

An alternative to animal testing would be vitro testing.” Studying cell cultures in a petri dish, can produce more relevant results than animal testing” (Should Animals be used for scientific research or commercial testing) If there are less hurtful and more productive ways to get better results than animal testing there should be no need to hurt these innocent living beings. Scientist kill animals daily when the results might not even be as reliable as if it is done in a petri dish. “Virtual reconstruction of human molecular structures, can predict the toxicity of substances without invasive experiments on animals” (Should Animals be used for scientific research or commercial testing). With new technology innovations scientist are able to replicate the human cell to make a model that is testable. This innovation is to spread and testing on animals should stop because there is no need for it when the human molecular models will be more precise than the harmful animal testing. This innovation is the cure to the harmful effects animal testing is causing. ”Epi Derm and Thin cert, is made from human skin cells grown in test tubes or plastic wells and can produce more useful results than testing chemicals on animal skin” (Should animals be used for scientific or commercial testing). Artificial human skin to scientists is the closest simulation to human skin that making it more reliable than any other type because who would know better how a chemical is going to react upon skin than human skin. Epi derm and Thin Cert should be the end to animal testing there is no need for it to continue when you have the real thing people are unable to understand the seriousness of hurting an in defensive creature that is cut short for a new
