A human thrives off of attention, even the shy introvert begs for it. Most Americans and people around the world watch other people make history and become infamous for acts of courage and acts of deceit. Whether a person goes down in infamy or goes down with tremendous honor, this person has altered history forever. In reality the world has heroes and villains, and these real life villains thrive for heed. The increase in mass shootings starts with the shooter’s addiction to fame and the chance of becoming notorious for their dishonorable deed.
The shootings that have happened in schools throughout America over the past few months has divided Americans on what they need to do as a nation to stop additional shootings from occouring. Many believe that creating new laws on buying weapons by requiring background checks, holding adults liable for the actions of their kids and requiring safety devices on weapons to stop youngsters will stop these massacres in schools from happening, it 's a step in the right direction, however, it 's not good enough nor is it effective enough, America needs well regulated gun laws and the politicians must understand that the laws should be based on facts, not opinions. There are several problems that need to be looked at in order to determine which laws are necessary. According to a recent study, America has the highest amount gun related deaths every year in the world. “Germany, has 371 gun related deaths, France 255, Canada 165, the united kingdom 68, Australia 65, Japan 39 and America, 11,200”.
What’s missing from the typical kindergartener’s backpack? A gun. The ultimate solution to gun violence is more guns, isn’t that obvious? We are in need of guns everywhere to the point where our nation needs armed guards in every school. They say the more guns we have, the more gun violence there is, but in fact it does the complete opposite and solves gun violence.
‘’Guns are responsible for over thirty-three thousand deaths in the United States annually, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).. In 2014, the CDC reported that 11,008 of the 15,872 homicides committed in the United States that year involved a firearm. Of the 42,826 suicides reported that year, 21,386 involved a firearm. These statistics have inspired efforts at the federal and state levels to enact gun control legislation to reduce crime and violence’’(‘’Gun Control’’). According to the statistic guns are held for over 33,000 deaths in the United States.
Over the last decade mass shootings have become more likely and a much larger issue than ever before. Mass shootings have been on the rise whether they occur in schools or out in public places like movies or malls. But why have the number of mass shootings recently increased ? President Donald Trump stated in an interview that one of the biggest reasons these massacres are happening is because of the negative influence that video games, movies, and media is leaving on young adults. Trump's idea was to incorporate a new and improved rating system for video games and movies.
Finial Draft In the world of today many citizens are involved in a mass shooting, and these mass shooting areas are mostly gun free zone an example would be a school. When a mass shooting occurs many of these citizens are disarmed. These citizens' fate all depends on how fast the law enforcements arrives at the scene. Why risk waiting when you can just eliminate the threat right then and there? If the area was a gun free zone the citizens would be defense less.
The second amendment of 1789 states that all civilians of the United States of America have their constitutional right to bare arms. Now, two centuries later, we have started to finally ride into a major problem regarding this constitutional amendment, what if people use this right for their own wrong will? Mass shootings in the past two decades have grown increasingly popular occasions throughout the world. It just takes one bad apple among the group to cause a multitude of deaths, usually based on mental illness or influence by the media. This not only creates a predicament of how we can stop or reduce these acts, but how we can find the source of them.
In America, people are granted the Second Amendment; otherwise known as the right to bear arms. Many argue whether parents should be allowed to teach their child about guns and gun violence. Parents should be allowed to have the right and make their own decisions as to whether or not they would want to inform their children. Though some people agree with this claim, while others oppose this topic, it is ultimately the parents decision. Parents who teach their children how to learn and shoot guns should not be considered inhuman because they are allowing their children to become more aware of guns and their risks.
Gun Violence In America Gun violence in america accounted for 33,636 deaths in 2015 alone and that number is only rising. If every american was able to obtain a firearm imagine what the numbers of gun related deaths. Even gun related injuries caused many more hospital visits in america what many other common incidents. That is why america needs to implement tighter gun laws to reduce the amount of gun violence in America. Without this we will continue to see shooting, gun death, gun injuries resulting in more and more gun related violence.
The United States of America, a great but very flawed nation is one of the highest-ranking countries in the world—which isn’t always a good thing. From its number one rating in areas like defense spending (almost half a trillion dollars in 2015 according to data from the National Priorities Project), to its astronomical and ever rising national debt (which increases $40,000 a second (The Telegraph))—America consistently comes out on top. Although rankings like these are upsetting to hear, the most frustrating is the fact that this country outranks every other nation in the world in guns, mass shootings, and gun violence. So far, there have been nearly 1,600 mass shootings since one of the most horrific shootings in modern history at Sandy
Gun control is a topic that has been debated over the last few years. It is a subject that many people stand for and against the change in policy. Basically gun control would change the way firearms are regulated, by changing laws or polices that control how they are made, sold, owned, and used by civilians. However by trying to take away firearms from civilians would be infringing upon their rights as United States citizens. There are many ethical reasons why gun control should not be implemented towards law-abiding citizens such as it is hypocritical, neglects the reality of control, and is discriminating against gun owners.
Guns kill people. When people obtain a gun they have the power to end a life. Many people argue “Well it's not the gun, its the person.” Although that is correct, it is the power they contain when possessing a firearm. Our Government has been halted by this issue because Constitutionalists think it's unconstitutional to control guns.
They can be used to defend and protect as well as to threaten and kill. Guns and crime go together. A study conducted by the American Journal of Public Health found that the legal purchase of a gun seems to be associated with an increased risk of violent death. Every year, Americans are shocked by numerous mass shootings and senseless acts of violence involving guns and weapons. And, every year around 100,000 people are shot among which 18,000 are children and teens (Lane, 131).
The number of incidents of gun violence last year in the United States was about 60,000. In recent years, the number of mass shooting has risen to about one mass shooting per day in the United States. The country is divided with some wanting to reevaluate our gun control laws and either ban or add additional regulations to the purchase of guns. Others say it is our right for Americans to own guns and something the founding fathers considered important to put in the Bill of Rights. The number of firearm sales has risen with the number of mass shooting many Americans question if banning guns or certain guns could help decrease the number of gun violence deaths.
Guns. Today this such a controversial topic in politics, mainly between the Republican and the Democrats. Guns have been part of American since its founding. Today, there is a lot more gun violence than there has been in our past, and this is causing big debate today. Guns are NOT the problem, People are the problem.
