To begin, after leaving my former employer I had an epiphany - my place in society should be as a change-maker, not working for a corporation. Hence, I now dedicate myself full time to academics, leadership, and community service. I am focused on making contributions in an expansive capacity, which will ultimately benefit society at large. Therefore, I am aspiring to apply my post-baccalaureate education, coupled with the transferable HR skills acquired in the industry, to educate others. This desire compels me in my aspirations to become a professor of Business Law, Political Science, Justice Studies and/or Sociology at a public community college, where I intend to foster an environment of enriched learning while mentoring and guiding future generations of young adults and/or motivating non-traditional students such as myself. As I have progressed through my coursework, my donors are always with me in my heart and mind, and they serve as the inspiration and motivation to overcome all obstacles. Whenever I feel overwhelmed, or intensely challenged in my coursework, I reflect on my donors who are counting on me to succeed. In effect, they have put their trust in me through their generosity, and I am accountable for leveraging their kindness. With this in mind, I feel it is my duty to honor them by excelling in academics. In essence, philanthropic donors are the catalyst for my achievements and reaching my ultimate goal of becoming an educator.
