Since I heard about the National Junior Honor Society in sixth grade, I wanted to be a part of it because I have always wanted to make a difference in our community, and joining NJHS would help make that possible. I also want to become a part of NJHS because I want to make our school better, by helping students get more involved with after-school activities, like going to football games, and community service, even if it’s as small as donating a can or two to the food bank. I believe I can contribute both my optimistic attitude and my leadership skills to NJHS. My optimistic attitude allows me to never give up and hope for the best possible outcome of a situation, which helps me to finish projects with quality and effort before they are due,

First, I am an independent thinker and am able to keep up with assignments and homework. Second, I am able to set goals and work toward achieving them. Additionally, I have an importance of leadership and school pride. In conclusion, I will be an asset to the Holly Academy Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society because I have high academic and behavioral standards, a willingness and desire to help others, and an ambition to become a member.
The National Honor Society organization functions as a symbol of excellence and brilliance of Egg Harbor Township High School. As a committed and goal-oriented individual with more energy than a billion watts, I know that being a member of your well-respected organization would allow me the opportunity to help my community, school, character development and scholastic abilities, and most notably, mutually benefit National Honor Society to the best of my ability. After high school, I plan to attain a degree in pre-medicine, as I have always had a rewinding image in my mind of becoming a doctor. I plan on going to medical school to advance in my studies, towards my career.
After I graduate high school, I stand determined to pursue my dream: to become a civil engineer and create hurricane-resistant infrastructure along the Gulf Coast. I plan to employ the four pillars of National Honor Society to better achieve my goals. In order to take the first step towards achieving my goals, I must first pursue scholarship, a commitment to learning. Knowledge illuminates the path to success. Without a commitment to my education, I will not graduate with the proficiency and competency necessary to enter the workforce.

I would like to become an active member of Carrboro High School’s National Honor Society in order to benefit my community through service. I am immensely committed to serving and improving my community, as I have made distinctly clear with my 143 service hours. Through these service hours, I have focused on the improvement of the future community by helping disenfranchised refugee children coming from horrible living conditions in Western Africa, by teaching children about biology, chemistry, and scientific history, by preparing freshmen for their high school careers, by raising money to protect and aid voiceless animals hurt in car crashes and other human infringements, and by creating rain gardens, planting food crops, and decreasing Carrboro High School’s environmental
To become a member of the highly esteemed National Honors Society would mean that I have achieved my goal of being an archetype student for North Penn High School. To be blunt, I had stressed over applying for NHS for quite a while, but it was not until mid-way through the application process in which I realized my life is based around the qualities that the National Honor Society holds in high value. I have been yearning to be a part of this remarkable organization since I graduated my freshman year as an officer in NJHS. Since then, my time has been filled with countless volunteering and involvement in extracurricular activities. I am very passionate about what I become invested into, and I work at achieving my goals to the fullest.

I am honored to be nominated for Crestwood’s National Honor Society for the 2017-2018 school year. I feel as if I use these four characteristics every day. This opportunity was given to me by being able to be a teacher's aide in Mrs.Mccabe’s life skills class. This has inspired me as an upcoming teacher and shown me that sewing into the lives of the younger kids can change who they are in the future for the better. Undoing the ongoing stigma society has laid out for these special needs kids is also very important for me and I will be a strong voice for the kids. Also in my time at Ennis High School, I was given the opportunity in one of my electives to be in Mrs.Kovars Ready Set Teach program for 3 years which allowed me to shadow a teacher at any of our available schools in the Ennis school district while also being able to get in-person classroom experience.
Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” I believe that it is very important to use your education to make an impact on the world, which is developed through scholarship.
