To encourage a positive attitude, emotional support from friends and family help the patient mentally (Larson). ALS is a very mystifying disease that in 90 percent of cases, scientists do not know the cause. Scientists say that nothing in the ALS patient’s diet, where they live, or how they have lived their life can be a credible case for ALS. However, in a small percent of cases, a genetic history can exist. In these cases around half of the entire family is diagnosed with ALS (Causes of
The SRM model will also give more flexibility to leaders allowing for more development of their leadership skills. Under the ARFORGEN model, low and mid-level leaders missed development opportunities because all direction came from higher command (Foster, 2016). These leaders found themselves passing on training plans whereas in the past they would have developed and implemented their own plans. “

The army has been focusing on developing soldiers into leaders and making leaders effective leaders. The Army has dedicated so much time to developing leaders that there is an entire ADP just to help leaders. ADP 6-22 covers everything you need to know about developing your leadership skills. Army Regulation 600-100 Army Profession and Leadership Policy define leader development as the deliberate, continuous, sequential, and progressive process, grounded in Army Values, that grows Soldiers and civilians into competent and confident leaders capable of decisive action. The goal is to have Army leaders who have purpose, direction, motivation, and vision for their teams while executing missions.
Leaders need to train, educate, and mentor Soldiers. Using the leadership-training model, leaders can over time support the overall mission. Leaders use the operational domain by training, along with experience and education. The institutional domain starts with military and civilian education. Experience and training work together simultaneously.
The NCO 2020 Soldier concept encompasses many different types of challenges from meeting the challenges of our new type of warfare to the vast difference skill sets that the new army soldiers have. We also need to consider the fact that many soldiers have deployed multiple times in Afghanistan and Iraq over the years, gaining knowledge on the art of our type of war and understanding the limitations our soldiers and leaders have encountered. This makes our senior Soldiers and junior NCOs very smart and adaptable in today’s constantly challenging environment. All of the soldiers that did not have combat experience were at a strong disadvantage. The Leadership courses were failing the soldier because the training did not help teach them the lessons learned in combat.

The military IOP should be the last option but should always be on the table. One of the limitations with the military IOP is that “too much military power can lead other states to feel threatened and pool their resources in an effort to counter the single, powerful state.” This is a big concern for us due to the need for us to have the countries in South Asia helping contain terrorism and not joining with each other to keep us out of their countries. On the other hand, this IOP should always be on the table as a last resort to help coerce the countries to work harder to make the other IOP’s work effectively. The United States must use every power we have to contain terrorism.

Courses such as the newer Master Leaders Course (MLC) and the Executive Leaders Course (ELC) are ways the Army’s Training Doctrine Command (TRADOC) prompted and executed the missing education gap for senior enlisted personnel (Kimmons, 2017). The NCO Corps is known as the backbone of the Army; however, it was believed that important fundamentals were missed when NCO promotion rates skyrocketed during the height of the Iraq and Afghanistan campaigns. The SMA further believed credentialing the schools within the NCOPDS to equivocate to civilian college credits to further assist Soldiers in reaching their educational goals. Regardless of the college transfer the NCOPDS would assist senior enlisted personnel to understand the challenges they would face at the next higher, or current level of leadership. Other online courses such as Joint Professional Military Education courses were further developed for senior leaders to work in conjunction with other branches to enhance understanding and readiness.

Meeting these training requirements and becoming a new instructor will benefit the Air Force in many ways. There wouldn’t be qualified Airmen to do the mission without instructors. They are the continuity and pass on their lessons from one generation of Airmen to the next; this is exactly what the Air Force needs right now.
In fact, leadership is an art rather than a science. The process of learning leadership is a hand-on experience, which focuses on practice instead of concepts itself. This course provides me a chance to gain more insight about leadership and it helps me develop my new image of leadership. Meanwhile, I also use the theories in our textbook as a framework for self-assessment of my leadership skills and try to develop my own leadership style during the
