This week's assignment was a SWOT analysis on Athletes Warehouse. This paper will address the strengths weaknesses opportunities and threats they need to assess is it consider opening a new business. This company is run by Brothers with slightly different skill sets and objectives. They have some unique issues to work through and a SWOT analysis would be a great way to strategically analyze the prospects of their business.
The first strength that I could identify was their strength in familiarity with the product set and customer type for their business. Their background as athletes, athletic educators and their prior startup give them some competitive advantage against others. A second competitive Advantage for Athlete Warehouse would be there flexibility in location. I definitely learned from the basement location of their first business and are prepared to make smarter decisions with lower costs and higher productivity. A third strength for their pending business will be the contacts and opportunities with educational institutions.
Next we'll look at some of the weaknesses. An immediate weakness would be the limited availability for Capital to invest in this business.
