The ad that I am reviewing is the Axis Duster ad by Axis automation. It appears in the April 2015 publication of the Baking & Snack magazine. The magazine features information about the baking and snack food industries. They discuss business, new products, regulations, trends, supplier innovations, purchasing, food safety, financial performance, food services and health and wellness within the baking and snack food industry. The magazine is for individuals in the food,beverage, nutrition, science and packaging industries. Baking & Snack magazine is an integral source of news for the food and beverage industry. It discusses every aspect from what type of packaging is available, to new types of sugar, equipment and touches on every aspect of the industry. It also promotes upcoming trade shows and reviews past trade shows. Since it is a monthly magazine, many individuals in this industry read it to keep up with the trends and news. …show more content…

I was immediately drawn to this ad because of the uniqueness of it. There are not a lot of words on the page, just a small paragraph. The image helps to attract consumers because it is a baking magazine and there is a lump of dough shaped into a dollar sign. My first thought was that the company was going to save me money. The message is that there is a way to save money and their machine is the way to do it.

They persuade the reader by saying that “ flour wasted is money wasted.” There is information in yellow at the bottom of the ad, which stands out because everything else is black and white. The sentence in yellow reads” For more information and an ROI calculator based on your use, visit axisautomation.com”. The fact that they have an ROI calculator makes it enticing for a consumer to go to their website to get an idea of cost. Once they realize that it will pay for its self in x amount of years, it seems like a no brainer to
