From the very start, God was and still is the creator of all things. Genesis one through two explains exactly how God formed the Earth into what it is today. This time was pivotal to all mankind because it is when God decided the world needed many things, including humans. The following is what many followers of Christ and what I believe is the origin of the universe. To begin God’s seven days of creation, He decided to bring light unto the world and then He “separated the light from the darkness” (Genesis 1:4 English Standard Version). The second day God created two blue, beautiful things, the sky and the ocean; when the Lord saw what he had made He knew He had done well. The reason I believe the universe was created based off the Bible is because my worldview is based on my belief in God and my faith in Christianity. In order to support the Bible, you must have full faith in what it says, including the creation of Earth. However, many people outside of Christianity believe everything was created through the big bang theory and evolution. Experts say that the universe started off “as a hot speck of energy” and then continued to grow from there (Cartwright, 2017, P. 1). In the Bible, that energy can be seen as God’s creation of light and this is one area where the theory and Genesis could correlate. God’s light on the first day of creation could possibly relate to how the big bang theory’s first light that was made into Earth. Moving forward, many people outside of Christian beliefs believe that we derived from monkeys. Researchers have found fossils of homo sapiens having a “prominent chin and highly inflated brain case” of the way today’s people look (Retallack, 2016, P.1). This does not correlate with the Bible because God made animals and humans on the same day, while science says that over time we went from homo sapiens to the intellectual people we are. Although some facts of science and the bible correlate, not all of it does, many people only believe in one or the other and many times none at
