Before we delve into this topic, let us go back to the book of Genesis chapter 1 verse 26. (God said let us make Man in our own image, after our likeness) There are two very important words here, IMAGE and LIKENESS. Let’s first look at the word IMAGE, it means the exact reflection of one’s self, when you look in the mirror, you see the exact reflection of yourself, so we wouldn’t be wrong to say that God looks like Man. Then the word LIKENESS, also means characteristics, behavior, attributes, abilities, nature or actions, so in both reflection and in actions Man is like God.
It is true that religion and science aren’t always viewed as compatible, and the idea that they have nothing to do with each other isn’t that uncommon. However, for a religion that claims to be an objectively true explanation of reality, science and religion must be two sides of the same coin. Christian apologetics is an attempt to demonstrate that the Christian worldview makes sense not only as a spiritual explanation, but as a philosophically and scientifically accurate understanding of the universe. Mormonism also presents itself as an objectively true religion and should, therefore, offers ways to understand it within the context of science and philosophy. Part of the way the LDS church does this today is through the organization, FARMS (Foundation for Ancient Research and Mormon Studies), which serves the research and publish scholarly analyses of the Book of Mormon, the Bible, early Christian history, and ancient temples.

To understand myself and strengthen my relationship with God, it is important to read the Bible and understand the messages and purpose of each book. Having a Biblical worldview is important. It is the foundation of everything I say and do. The choices I make should be based off the word of God. To provide an insight into my thoughts on the word of God, I will be discussing Romans pertaining to questions that every person should think about.
The Bible begins with the words, “In the beginning. God created the heavens and the earth” What a good concept to start with as I explore the Church of the first five Decades, New beginnings in the church of Christ. The call to the apostle was a comprehensive one the Lord asked that each of His followers live the lifestyle of a true member. During the first century of the Church, Jesus Crucified had His Apostles and His disciples to manifest his ineffable love to the whole world.
Philosophy is the knowledge and reality of nature. It is a way of life and it is helpful with academics. The Lord is the basis of all philosophy. Christians can use the Bible for all kinds of knowledge and use the Trinity to teach them what they need to be doing. Christians take for granted what they have and that is all about moral issues.
To educate effectively, we must be prepared, plan, and present subject matter with imagination and vitality. In Matthew 7:29, it states, “Jesus taught with a commanding assurance and vigor that amazed the multitudes.” Curriculum development necessitates the formation of a framework that will provide concepts and materials which will expand the learning process. The position of the teacher not only leads but serves (Matthew 20:25-28). Leading and serving as a biblical worldview can be successfully intertwined into the role of the teacher, impacting the development of the curriculum.
Which is an important role in students’ lives. Christian in the public school system can have difficult time following their beliefs when teaching. Teachers who have a Christian philosophy approach to education from a perspective of a Christian biblical worldview can influence students. Educator’s and school counselor’s that have a Christian philosophy can teach Christian ideas in students to help with character development. It essential for an educator to understand each student and guide them to God’s mission in life (Barlett, 2007).

My biblical worldview before this course was centered on scriptures and seeing things through them. Computer technology had helped me to enhance my biblical view by allowing me to access scriptures instantly on a situation. I find this useful when I remember a verse but cannot quote it back. You Version on my smartphone allows me to mark verses for later use and it organizes The Bible more concise for learning. Personal use of computers involved communication, bill pay, entertainment, work, and online learning.
Through our readings and discussion of the Bible, I have had the opportunity to explore and broaden my perspective on the Catholic bible. I also understand that importance of incorporating the morals taught in the Bible into my life. In order to thoroughly understand the Bible, I must decipher between the facts and fiction. My worldview has been changed dramatically as I now have a different outlook of my origins.
However students in any university will receive only a partial education of facts and worldly wisdom because they lack the fear of the LORD. Psalm 111:10 declares, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom” (NASB). Scruton attempted to appeal to his readers common sense however he did not appeal strongly to the readers common morals. Each of us beings, made in God’s Image, has a common moral code that all men share at least part of. Scruton should have appealed to this aspect of men to truly drive his point
Despite the opposition teachers face from outside the classroom, it is essential that a student’s learning enviornment remains free from bias and serves as place for constructive classroom discussion. As you continue to read my paper, I will discuss both sides of this argument - how students are being affected and what we can do to solve this longtime debate of God verses
My readings from True Education by Ellen White has caused me to picture my future classroom, students, and what I will look like as a teacher. I want my classroom to be in accordance with how God would want it to be. True Education has given me a good template of what that would look like. I hope to have a classroom that stretches my students physically, mentally, and spiritually. I hope to have a classroom that is not cooped up all day but instead gets to learn in nature.
