I believe that a worldview is how a person looks at the things that transpire in their life, and the lives of individuals around them. My belief-system tells me that all people were created by God, and were created as equals. While my worldview is important, I believe the Apostle Paul’s messages in the book of Romans explains in more of a biblical sense what a righteous man or woman worldview consists of. Romans 1-8 provide a God-fearing person with imperative information that will shape his or her worldview for the better. The Natural World is explained in (Romans 1:8) by using faith as the component that one must have to be close to God. “The just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17). By “just”, God is using Paul to explain to His children that the righteous servants will live by the belief in him. “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness” (Romans 1:18). “Therefore, brethren, we are debtors not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh” (Romans 8:12). I believe that today with media, and how doing what is “cool” most of the time takes precedence over doing what God call us to do, it makes it difficult for people, including myself not to want to satisfy our flesh. By “satisfy our flesh” I mean that I sometimes find myself living up to a worldly standard, rather than the standard that God call me to live up to. “ For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live” (Romans 8:13). I want to live a life that is pleasing to God, and a life that will give me eternal life.
