Summary: A List of Cages is about a senior Adam Blake serving as an aide to his school’s psychologist. One day the psychologist sen Adam to fin a freshman who’s been missing their appointment. When Adam finds this student he realizes it’s Julian; a foster brother he haven’t seen for years. While reconnecting Julian seems to be the same kid Adam knew but as time goes on Julian was keeping secrets. Adam is determined to help julian and make up times lost. Setting: A List of Cages is placed in modern day period. Adam and julian’s school, Julian’s house, Adam’s house and Adam’s car plays important roles in this book. He has brown hair and ADHD, he is 17, tall, clumsy, extroverted and kind. Adam is liked by most people in his school and has a small group of friends. During his senior year he landed as the best elective, this means he becomes an aide for his school’s psychologist. Whilst being an aie he is reunited with his old foster brother Julian. When he is reunited he is determine to reconnect. Adam becomes a little protective over Julian and starts to invite Julian to hangout with his friends. Julian - Julian is one of the main protagonist and narrator. He has black hair that covers his eyes and has dyslexia, he is 14, small for his age, quiet, introverted and shy. Julian doesn’t have any friends and keeps to himself. Julian first met Adam when he was in second grade and Adam was in fifth, they were reading buddies. After they didn’t hang out until years later when Julian became Adam’s foster brother. Julian’s parents died in a car crash when he was in the fourth grade. He lived with Adam for a year then he went to live with his uncle. Throughout the book he talks about past memories about his parents. Julian keeps his mother’s notebook with him trying to figure out what these lists she wrote done
