Art is everywhere around us. The importance of art is everywhere, this world is an art piece and it is done by our feelings not just what knowing when one is to draw something on a piece of paper. The Arts play a value role in creating cultures and teaches us on how to communicate through creative expression. The arts is vital for future students. Art allows students to learn about themselves, their culture, and their community. By taking arts students will start to visualize the world differently. Arts education is one of the most important classes in school. Everyone gets to be themselves through the arts. Students learn to be unique and creative. In the article “Book Tackles Old Debate: Role of Art in Schools,” Robin Pogrebin states that, “ Students who study the arts seriously are taught to see better, to envision, to make critical judgments and to justify judgements” (Pogrebin). He clarifies students get a boost of confidence because they are taught this way. Also they get to justify the judgments and visualize one another. For example, making critical judgments is very important because one could learn from the judgments and after be more confident. In the article “Why Arts Education Is Crucial, and Who's Doing It Best,” Fran Smith states that, “ Arts learning can also improve motivation, concentration, confidence, and teamwork” (Smith). Smith justified that the arts is important because not only does it improve a student’s confidence, but also in teamwork. For example in a vocal ensemble everyone has to work together for the music to sound good. This leads to teamwork and confidence too because everyone in the ensemble is relying on each other. Also in a art class, when a teacher puts a group of students to work together, it improves one’s confidence and teamwork because they all have to work with different students that have various ideas and to criticize one another. In the article “Arts Education Matters: We Know, We Measured It,” Jay Greene stated that, “ Arts experiences boost critical thinking, teaching students to take the time to be more careful” (Greene). Greene demonstrates that being experienced with arts is important because one it boosts critical thinking and second to take time to be careful. Also this is one of the reason why students with arts succeed and achieve more in school because they were taught to take time to be careful.
