Introduction The Monterey County Department of Social Services (MCDSS) has a great impact on serving older adults in the Monterey County. The MCDSS has a variety of services in the county including the cities of Salinas, King City and Seaside. The MCDSS mission statement is very clear and precise in what they value and how they will help others value themselves. They have one goal and one goal only, to help serve the client.
Boundless is dedicated to help people that need support especially women. We dedicate to give women in need clothing and make them prepare for any occasion. Boundless strives to help women move forward and become successful in whatever they want to accomplish. We do this by having designated bins in our stores where people can leave clothing that they no longer want. We do this because we want women to feel and look confident no matter the occasion.
The second major party in Canada is The Green Party of Canada. This party is a 1960's green movement placed into a party. The party was found in the 1960’s, influenced by the values of love, peace, and understanding of that time. The party’s values and ideology is summarized on environmental wisdom, non-violence, social justice, sustainability, participatory democracy, and respect for diversity. The nonprofit organization Economic Development Group of Wabash County began its journey in 2007 with a vision to help the community of Wabash. The mission statement of EDC is “to create economic and employment opportunities for the people and businesses of Wabash County”. (A Letter from the President/CEO Mr. William S. Konyha page 5, 2011) Incorporating the mission for the prospect of new businesses in the community and to enhance the already established ones the EDC began. Their journey began in 2007 with the lack of “financial infrastructure required”.
This paper explores three health organization services that include: Washington Hospital Healthcare System (WHHS) - Fremont, Kaiser Permanente - Fremont, and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital and will discuss the description and services that the HSO provides, their mission statement, and description of the HSO management. I chose these hospitals because I have volunteered at WHHS, am a member of Kaiser Permanente, and will one day like to work as a Registered Nurse in Pediatric care. The National Beta Club is an organization that promotes multiple attributes that are required for a successful future. These qualities are listed in the mission statement as the following: achievement, character, leadership, and service. Each of these characteristics has been ingrained in my personality as I have participated in Beta over the past four years, and I believe that I am more prepared to take on future endeavors because of it. First, I never would have been selected for Beta Club if it were not for the sense of achievement I already had.
Over the summer I interned with this amazing company called, The First Tee of Tampa Bay. This organization wasn’t always known as The First Tee of Tampa Bay, when it started in 1991 it was first called Urban Junior Golf at Rogers Park Golf Course in Tampa. The whole concept behind this organization, was to be an affordable and accessible golf organization for those in the inner city to teach them how to become a better person through their Nine Core Values (courtesy, judgement, honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, and perseverance). Their complete mission statement is “The First Tee is a youth development organization introducing the game of golf and its inherent values to young people.
The Odyssey The Odyssey is an ancient story with many smaller stories within it. Although the entire story is a a good and fascinating one, there is one section of the story that is particularly interesting. When Odysseus and his men are trying to get home from Aiaia, they encounter the Scylla.
In what ways do you fit the goals of this school? As I read the mission statement, I realized my goal of becoming a rural primary care physician would be best achieved by attending the University of Minnesota Duluth. My desire to pursue rural primary medicine is a result of experiences throughout my life. Having grown up in a rural community, I appreciated the long-term relationship I developed with my pediatrician.
In the 1970’s, Asian flying carp was brought over to the United States to filter waterways of unnecessary algae and bacteria. Since their introduction, these carp have spread across the country, and are currently wreaking havoc on the environment: outcompeting all native fish species due to their aggressiveness and adaptability. They have also been know to cause damages to property and fatally injure fishermen. This fish was originally imported for a good cause, to benefit the environment; the aftermath was unseen and unexpected. People often get involved in situations not pertaining to them because they believe they are able to resolve the issues, and the baleful impacts left behind from these conflicts are generally not deliberate.
