Business Classes Through The High School Of Business Program

Over the course of my entire high school career, I have had the opportunity to take numerous business classes through the High School of Business Program. These classes have most definitely given me a better insight into the business world, and all other aspects associated with it. The most recent business class I took was named Business Strategies, which focused on creating your own business. This was one of the most beneficial business classes I have taken, as it encompassed many aspects and realities of creating your own business. Although my class’ business was not entirely successful, it was a great opportunity to grow and learn with my fellow peers about the reality of our modern-day world.

This semester, we proposed an open-campus option for students in grades eleven and twelve. This proposal was well thought out and provided a detailed description which encompassed all of the procedures needed to make this business successful. Our plan included ways in which students could purchase these open-campus passes, cost of each pass, guidelines each student had to meet, and consequences for inappropriate use of the pass. However, some minor changes needed to take place in order for the business to move forward. After the initial meeting, our group sat down together and revised the plan, which included the needed changes. Several days after, we met with our principal again, and the proposal was finally passed.
